Teriyaki Chicken and Basmati Rice

As our family has steered farther and farther away from fast food, one of our favorite take-outs has become Teriyaki Chicken and Basmati Rice. If you’ve been to enough teriyaki restaurants or store delis, you know that not all teriyakis are created equal.

It’s such a treat to be able to create our favorite take-out at home.

Teriyaki Chicken and Basmati Rice

Check out these three posts to pull together a delicious teriyaki chicken dinner at home.

Basmati Rice

Chicken Breast

Teriyaki Sauce

After everything has been cooked and the chicken has had time to rest, cut chicken into slices and place on a serving dish.

Pour your sauce over the chicken.  Sprinkle with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

Serve with steamy rice or simply in chilled lettuce for a healthy wrap.

Happy teriyaki take-out… only, you know, in.

Today, she expresses these loves creatively through speaking engagements and food writing. Deanna hosted guests, including celebrities, at her award-winning B&B in the Snoqualmie Valley. Deanna has been seen on both local and national television with her Saucy Balsamic Burgers which knocked 'N Sync's Joey Fatone to his knees. Besides her children, Deanna’s mud pie is one of the most beautiful things she has ever created.
