Hey, you know what sounds good right now? Fondue!

There’s a new character in season four which carries us over to season five. It’s that god-awful and amazing and god-awful fondue pot.

Bright orange & gold with mushrooms and all.

She likes golf cart rides, processed cheese, cacao ceremonies, and long walks on the beach.

I don’t usually condone processed food; but, I will this time…

…because Frankie.

So find your god-awful fondue pot & a 2-liter bottle of Mountain Dew and let’s get started.

Grace and Frankie Cheese Fondue

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 tablespoons onion, grated (use a cheese grater)
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup low-fat milk
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 2 teaspoons Beau Monde seasoning
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sea salt
  • 10 slices processed Swiss cheese slices

Melt butter in a saute pan. Cook onions in butter for a few minutes over medium-low temp. Stir in flour. Cook for a few more minutes. Unwrap cheese slices. Turn up the heat to about medium-high and add remaining ingredients while stirring occasionally. Fondue is ready when the cheese is completely melted.

Transfer to god-awful and amazing and god-awful fondue pot. Serve hot & melty with warm french bread pieces or tasty crackers.
