Duke’s Restaurant at Waikiki Beach in Oahu Hawaii

Duke’s Restaurant at Waikiki Beach in Oahu Hawaii saved me.

Normally, being a curious culinary researcher, I would spend a lot of time looking for the best restaurants when I travel. But on this particular trip to Oahu, I was more excited to enjoy the sites, relax, and not worry at all about where we were going to eat.

Since we couldn’t beat the view, we decided to try Duke’s restaurant in Waikiki. We dined there and we dined often.

We enjoyed the seasonal fish & chips among many other dishes which were fantastic.

We enjoyed a seat outside every day so we could enjoy the beachfront view. We tried brunch, lunch, and dinner. And they were all lovely. Not going to Oahu on this trip? No worries, Duke’s has you covered with multiple locations.

If you just want to take it easy, we highly recommend Duke’s.

P.S. Kimo’s Original Hula Pie® with coffee while watching the BYOB Catamarans sail into shore is a pretty lovely way to end the day. Next time we may have to try the catamaran out too. You know, so we can fill you in on the scoop. You’re welcome.

Deanna’s love for baking and cooking first began when she sat upon a baker’s stool as a little girl. Her love for people grew in the midst of church potlucks. Today, she expresses these loves creatively through speaking engagements and food writing. Deanna hosted guests, including celebrities, at her award-winning B&B in the Snoqualmie Valley. Deanna has been seen on both local and national television with her Saucy Balsamic Burgers which knocked 'N Sync's Joey Fatone to his knees. Besides her children, Deanna’s mud pie is one of the most beautiful things she has ever created.
