Tips for Making Perfect Boiled Eggs

Place your eggs in a pot and cover with lukewarm water.

Turn the heat onto high and place the pot of eggs on the burner.

Eggsamples: 7 minutes, 9 minutes, and 13 minutes

Bring the water to a boil and then immediately turn the burner to medium-low heat and set a timer for how long you would like your eggs to cook.

Soft: 5-7 minutes.

Medium: 8-10 minutes

Hard: 13-15 minutes

How to Achieve a Perfect Peel

After the eggs have cooked as long as you like, pour the hot water out of the pot and run very cold water into it instead. Let the eggs sit in the cold water for a few minutes. Turn the water back on and peel the eggs under the running water. This helps to sweep away any tiny shell pieces that make cling to the eggs or your fingers.
