Thai Sweet Chili Sauce

This Thai Sweet Chili Sauce is especially delicious and especially beautiful.

It’s great for Thai Chicken Satay Lettuce Wraps or other Thai dishes.

Thai Sweet Chili Sauce

  • 4 fresh garlic cloves
  • 6 Thai chilis, stemmed and chopped
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoons sea salt

Mince or process the garlic and chilis in a food processor.

Place processed ingredients in a saucepan. Add remaining ingredients and stir.

Watch the sauce closely while cooking. Bring to a boil and then reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for 10-15 minutes and low or medium-low heat while stirring.

The sauce will thicken as it cools.

Refrigerate in an airtight container or jar until using.
