Snowball Cookies

Snowball Cookies are always a holiday hit.

Sometimes the simplest recipes are the best crowd-pleasers.

Snowball Cookies

Makes about 2 1/2 dozen cookies.

Preheat oven to 350°F.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped fine
  • Additional powdered sugar (for coating)

Combine butter, powdered sugar, flour, salt, vanilla until the dough comes together. Gently stir in pecans. Roll into 1-inch balls. Place cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake about 15 minutes.

Bake about 15 minutes.

When hot out of the oven, roll each cookie into additional powdered sugar to coat. Roll in powdered sugar again once cooled if desired.
