Sautéed Asparagus

Sautéed Asparagus is so simple but so delicious – a must-have summer dish.

Sautéed Asparagus

  • 1 bunch fresh asparagus
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • Sea salt
  • Coarse ground pepper
  • Juice from 1 fresh lemon
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced (optional but highly recommended)
  • 3 tablespoons Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, shaved or grated
  • 1 recipe Dijon Cheddar Sauce (optional but highly recommended)

Place asparagus in a large pan over medium-high heat. Use tongs to turn asparagus as it cooks. Cook for about five minutes or until asparagus is hot.

Reduce heat to medium and add butter. After the butter has melted, sprinkle with some salt & pepper, and drizzle with the lemon juice and minced garlic. Sauté for another minute or so and remove from heat.

Plate the asparagus and top with Parmigiano Reggiano cheese and, if desired, Dijon Cheddar Sauce.
