Place all of the ingredients into the mixer.

  • 2pounds powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 4 ounces butter, softened (about 1/2 hour on the counter or 8 seconds in the microwave should do it)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese

Sprinkle candy mold very lightly with sugar. Press in enough of the mint mixture into the mold to be sure you have enough. Make sure it is level. Remove the excess mint mixture.

This process takes time and is the perfect task to do with friends or family.

If you don’t have actual candy molds, you can use any small clean, food-safe item that will work or just roll them into balls & coat with sugar.

Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet so they can set up.

if you like, these mints can be placed in a clear gift bag with a lively bow for gifts.

Ah… perfectly perfect.

Makes about 130 marble-sized mints. If your event has a colorful theme, you can add a tiny bit of food coloring when mixing.

Simply loverly. And delicious – always the hit of the party.

    1. Hi Jason, This recipe is too thick for piping. They are yummy though! Thank you! 🙂

  1. How long do these need to dry before putting them in a container?

    1. Hi there Cheslie, I would say about a week but recommend wrapping them in plastic wrap to keep them soft after the outside starts to dry a bit. That way you will have a firm outter crust & soft inside. I hope you enjoy them! 🙂

  2. How long does the candy need to sit in the mold before it can be removed?

    1. The mixture is firm enough that it doesn’t have to sit in the mold at all. Just press it in and pop it out.

  3. so these mints can stay in a air tight container at room temperature for several days without being refrigerated ?
