Breaded Pork Chops

These Breaded Pork Chops are crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside.

Breaded Pork Chops

  • 6 pork chops
  • Sea salt
  • Coarse ground pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon ground sage (optional)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups panko bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup peanut, vegetable, or canola oil

Sprinkle both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper.

Place the flour and, if desired, sage in a shallow bowl and stir together.

Place the eggs in a shallow bowl and whisk them until they are well-beaten.

Place panko crumbs in a shallow bowl.

Pour the olive oil into a large frying pan over medium-high heat.

Coat the pork chops one at a time in the flour and then the eggs and then the panko crumbs.

When the pan is hot, place the pork chops in the pan in a single layer and fry on the first side until it is golden brown. Flip them over and cook on the second side until the middle reaches 145°F.

Place your choppers on a platter snd let them rest for 8 minutes.

These are lovely served with homemade mashed potatoes and sage gravy.
