Beautiful World Bread

This Beautiful World Bread will become one of your very favorite recipes.

It goes with everything.

Beautiful World Bread

  • 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 2 teaspoon of Beau Monde Seasoning  (beautiful world)
  • 2 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons of grated onion (use a cheese grater to grate onion)
  • 1 long loaf of plain French bread, sliced
  • 1 package processed, individually-wrapped Swiss cheese slices

Mix butter, lemon juice, poppy seeds, Beau Monde, mustard, salt, and onion together well and set aside.

Cut French bread into about 3/4 inch slices and place onto a baking sheet lined with foil.
Smother both sides of each slice with the creamy beautiful world blend.

Cut Swiss cheese slices into half diagonally. Make sure you have one diagonal piece for each slice of bread. If desired, you can replace the processed cheese with the real stuff for fancier gatherings. I’ve done this many times and it’s wonderful too.

Place one cheese triangle in between each slice of bread.
Bring the foil up around the sides of the bread.

Bake 20 minutes or until the butter mixture and cheese is entirely melted.

Deanna’s love for baking and cooking first began when she sat upon a baker’s stool as a little girl. Her love for people grew in the midst of church potlucks. Today, she expresses these loves creatively through speaking engagements and food writing. Deanna hosted guests, including celebrities, at her award-winning B&B in the Snoqualmie Valley. Deanna has been seen on both local and national television with her Saucy Balsamic Burgers which knocked 'N Sync's Joey Fatone to his knees. Besides her children, Deanna’s mud pie is one of the most beautiful things she has ever created.
