A Christmas Tea Tree

A Christmas Tea Tree. A sweet scent. A decorative explosion of silverware.

I decorated this tree for the Washington State Fair.

In 2009, the theme I entered was “A Christmas Tea”. I was seeping with ideas!

I adorned the branches with everything sweet and cozy.

Have not ever using silver – real or plated – for any party, ever. I have, however, decorated with it more times than I can count.

My favorite scrapbook store was the perfect place to find embellishments to recreate my teabags, giving them new tags that were worthy of display.

Special treats at the bottom of the tree included homemade sugar cookies and mini gingies. Old books are always uplifting.

What is a tree without a tea-topper?

I wish you could scratch-and-sniff through the computer screen. This tree smelled as wonderful as it looked.

Deanna’s love for baking and cooking first began when she sat upon a baker’s stool as a little girl. Her love for people grew in the midst of church potlucks. Today, she expresses these loves creatively through speaking engagements and food writing. Deanna hosted guests, including celebrities, at her award-winning B&B in the Snoqualmie Valley. Deanna has been seen on both local and national television with her Saucy Balsamic Burgers which knocked 'N Sync's Joey Fatone to his knees. Besides her children, Deanna’s mud pie is one of the most beautiful things she has ever created.
