When it’s not enough to braise the roast, simply splatter some hot oil. And when polka dot burns on your face aren’t enough, grab the hot part of the pan for the win.
Short story: I burned my hand today.
So I decided to blog something cold. It just felt right.

You could make a blueberry smoothie and you could make a mango smoothie but why not make a layered blueberry and mango smoothie?

Mise en Place (MEEZ-ahn-plahs).

For the mango smoothie:
- 1 sixteen ounce bag of frozen mangos
- 1 small frozen banana
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 1 1/2 cups orange juice (don’t pour into blender until ready to blend)

Blend all ingredients together very well. Only turn blender up to the lowest speed you need to make this happen. Pour into bottom half of glasses.

For the blueberry smoothie:
- 1 sixteen ounce bag of frozen blueberries
- 1 small frozen banana
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 1-2 tablespoons barleygreen
powder (optional but very healthy & you can’t taste it!)
- 1 1/2 cups blueberry (or another sweet juice, like apple) juice (don’t pour into blender until ready to blend)

Blend all ingredients together very well. Only turn blender up to the lowest speed you need to make this happen. Gently pour into top half of glasses over mango goodness.

Garnish with blueberries and a sprig of mint. Layered, slushy, cold and gorgeous. They make everything feel better.

Great recipe! Though I prefer fresh ingredients over frozen. Otherwise, it looks absolutely scrumptious!!

do yo know of anything I cold substitute the banana with? I am severely allergic to bananas
Hell there! I believe a good replacement would be some frozen mangos that are left on the counter to partially defrost would be a great replacement. I’m guessing from working with them in other smoothies. Pretty mild flavor and a great texture once they sit out for a bit. I hope this is helpful. Hugs!
What is the quantity the recipe will serve? I am doing a breakfast for up to 30 people and am not sure how much to get. It looks delicious.
Hi there, This recipe makes one full blender full (about 60 ounces) so it just depends on how many you would like to serve & how large your glasses are. I hope this is helpful for you. Have a fun gathering!
