Rain Boots or Birkenstocks?

When it rains in the Northwest, we learn to make the best of every drop.

I went out and got a much needed, new pair of Birkenstocks the other day in the U District in Seattle. I used to tease my mom about wearing her granola shoes but I have conformed (no pun intended) to these amazing sandals. BTW,  they now make a soft bed sandal which requires almost no breaking in to wear comfortably! I can’t believe that I never saw any marketing about these! Have you ever tried Birkies? As for us, we learn to enjoy our Birkenstock sandals in the sun or in the rain… even if we must wear tube socks with them.

But, no worries, if you are our guest we also have rain boots that you can borrow so that you can play in the mud puddles. For us girls, we have stylish, polka-dot boots. Have you been going through a rainy season? Come on over and take a break where we make the most of the rain.

Looking forward to the sunshine returning tomorrow to North Bend,

Deanna, AKA Granola Girl

Want to fit in when you come to the NW? Just buy yourself some Birkenstocks and tubesocks before you come to visit. 🙂

just fyi, birks arent made to handle too much rain! water is the enemy of the cork and suede lining in the footbed. Try to avoid! They also make a waterproof version now, same model names followed by EVA, I reccomend you check it out it’s what I wear when it rains in lieue of my birks 🙂
